In medical emergencies, panic or unfamiliar surroundings often delay communication with emergency services. The new SOS feature addresses this challenge by automatically capturing the user’s location through GPS, enabling the nearest ambulance to be dispatched immediately to the exact spot.
Simultaneously, the feature allows the user or a bystander to connect with a Kauvery doctor through a 24/7 video call, providing real-time medical guidance and reassurance until emergency assistance arrives. This integration of rapid ambulance dispatch and live medical consultation helps bridge the crucial gap between the onset of an emergency and hospital care.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Suresh Sambandam, Founder and CEO of Kissflow, said, “True innovation turns complex problems into simple solutions. Kauvery KARE does exactly that—putting lifesaving care just one tap away. It is inspiring to see a Tamil Nadu leader using digital innovation to solve real-world needs and create a massive impact.”
Dr. Aravindan Selvaraj, Co-Founder and Executive Director, Kauvery Group of Hospitals, highlighted the need for speed and simplicity in healthcare. “Mobile apps have become integral to daily life, offering convenience and speed across services. Healthcare cannot be an exception. During emergencies, every second matters, and panic can cause delays. Our goal is to remove complexity from emergency care. With the Kauvery KARE SOS feature, help is truly just one tap away,” he said.
Beyond emergency support, the Kauvery KARE app functions as a comprehensive digital healthcare platform, enabling users to book appointments across Kauvery Hospital units, choose video or in-person consultations, access health reports digitally, and manage medical records for multiple family members. The app is available on both iOS and Android.
The launch underscores Kauvery Hospital’s commitment to leveraging technology to enhance accessibility, responsiveness, and continuity of care, offering patients a reliable, all-in-one digital health solution anytime and anywhere.
